We are excited to announce Fall Days! On October 31, all of the fourth graders will participate in a series of fall activities related to our Math, Reading, Writing, and Social Studies curriculum. Each of the fourth grade teachers will be teaching a special class and the students will rotate through the various 4th grade classrooms.
In order to help us meet all of our students, we are asking for parent donations to make the various activities a success. We will need the following:
Some items have been donated, if you email first I can let you know if we still need the item. I have 4 small pumpkins and 1 large pumpkins so far.
- 2 Large bags of fall leaves per class – total of 8 bags
- 1 large package of 100 white paper plates
- Various balls of yarn in fall colors
- 60 feet of black fuzzy boas – 10 6-foot boas or 8 8-foot boas will work nicely… 2 8-foot boas per homeroom
- 50 sheets each of black, orange, and pink card stock
- 200 medium glue dots and a roll of thin fishing line
- 4 pumpkins of various sizes for each class – These pumpkins must be notably different in size to make the activity a success. Please contact Mrs. Janosik at mjanosik@cornerstonecharter.com with any questions. We will need a total of 16 pumpkins… 4 small, 4 medium, 4 medium/large, and 4 large. If you would like to donate the pumpkins for your class, please let us know ASAP! Pumpkins will be available for sale at Ducktoberfest, so that may be a great way to support our school and the fourth grade at the same time!
- We will also need parent volunteers to help in each classroom. If you would be interested in helping out in class on Monday, October 31, please contact your homeroom teacher to let her know. We hope to have a great day with our students!!
HAPPY FALL!
